Absurd Trax take over the Eastern Margins Garden this week ahead of our show with them on 24 Jan at The Yard. Founder Gavin Wong presents a snapshot of their sound with a dive through their own catalogue, Hong Kong classics and influences beyond. 

⁣Careful as you enter the Absurd Trax guesthouse: the hallways are adorned with plaques of timeless anthems from the likes of ASJ, Alexmalism, Thegn & Kelvin T. Pay close attention to the forgotten artefacts in the corner, including a nu metal rap crossover from Hong Kong’s finest supergroup, LMF. In the corner lies the Absurd Creation pinball machine, filled with bubblegum warpers from the likes of QQ Baby Girl, Exit Trance & EASYFUN. A tapestry hangs from the ceiling, marked with the etchings of Tzusing and symbiz.⁣⁣

⁣Out of the glass windows, you’ll catch sight of the vines of Flora Yin Wong & usernamamouse’s serene blossoms, gently wrapped in winter’s calm. As you exit the guesthouse, make sure to look through the photobook: it’s filled with memories by noctilucents, Anna & 容祖兒.⁣⁣
