Kuala Lumpur’s lovers & dreamers take over the Eastern Margins Garden this week, as NYK, Shelhiel 邝晅恒, JAIE & a kid named rufus handpick a selection of their favourite blooms from South-East Asia and beyond.
With roots in Kuala Lumpur, but spread throughout the region and beyond, these artists are quietly crafting a new wave of RnB and lovers’ music. Whilst JAIE has been honing her skills abroad, NYK, a kid named rufus and Shelhiel 邝晅恒 have been steadily building their own community in Singapore, Malaysia and the rest of Asia. Favourite fact: if you’ve been on Chinese internet recently (especially 抖音, you’ll find Shelhiel 邝晅恒 and NYK’s song AAA soundtracking everything from make-up tutorials to otaku-bedroom live streamers.
