Shanghai’s DDR troubadour Jiafeng takes over the Garden this week, as he leads us into his portal of Emotional Dance Music: a world of Blue Screens of Love, Fuji Film & Lost Arcades. 

Jiafeng has been a fixture on Shanghai’s underground for some time, crafting a reputation for fantasy visuals. We first crossed paths in 2018 at Love Bang Universe. Jiafeng was playing live Sax with lego jewellery, naturally. ⁣

Jiafeng’s new album, Emotional Dance Music, is the actualisation of a dream reality: mixing PC Music hyper-pop aesthetics with the realities of love in Modern China. ⁣
